“You can’t compete with someone who’s having fun.” - Tiago Forte

I absolutely adore this notion! And it’s something that I’ve seen playing out over the past few weeks and months which is probably why it stood out so much.

It also suits the photo that accompanies this quote too.

I just returned from a weekend in Melbourne where I chose to stay after Future Of Leadership so Noémie and I could explore the city and spend time with family I have down there. There are a lot of people that do what I do that I see trying to spend as little amount of time as possible in a location and that’s something that I am trying to avoid.

I know everyone’s situation is different. People have work, family and other commitments that can impact their ability to spend time in certain places and maybe the novelty hasn’t quite worn off for me just yet. But I want to try to embrace the opportunity that I’m incredibly lucky to have in front of me.

I have the most fun when I’m loving what I’m doing and I hope that sticks with me for years to come. If things change or the lustre wears off, I’ll at least have these words to reflect on and find out other ways I can be the one who’s having the most fun.
