Leagues Of Their Own

What a journey this one has been! It’s crazy to think that during the final stages of editing and releasing Attacking Life, we actually found ourselves in Lawrence, Kansas already working on our next project.

We always knew we wanted to use whatever momentum we had from producing our first feature to jump into the next opportunity that presented itself and luckily the stars aligned when Sam came to me with this idea he was introduced to while he was shooting a wedding in Cabo. Enter Zack Brust, AKA Slim Brusty, AKA Dusty Brusty, AKA King of the Swamp and your host for the series. Zack is as passionate a sports fan as you’ll find but his curiosity for what makes sports tick is where the concept of Leagues Of Their Own comes from.

Original ideas for the show flowed between “Anthony Bourdain meets sports” and “The stories and sports you wouldn’t usually cover”. But where we ultimately landed was on a concept where Zack, the perennial sports fan explores a variety of sports on a deeper level, looking for the people who turn the lights on rather than the ones who shine under them.

We’ve reached a stage where we’re ready to share the concept and look for partners to produce an entire series but stay tuned for updates, including a look at our pilot episode coming shortly.
